KINGDOM OF SORROW: 'Lead The Ghosts Astray' Video Posted Online
October 9, 2008"Lead the Ghosts Astray", the new video from KINGDOM OF SORROW — the band featuring Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Kirk Windstein (DOWN, CROWBAR) — can be viewed below. (Note: Video stream may not be available to some non-U.S. residents.)
Regarding the clip, Jasta told Headbanger's Blog, "This song always ignites the circle pit and gets everyone singing along, so I'm pumped that we shot a video for it. The song is loosely based on a chapter in CRO-MAGS frontman John Joseph's book 'Evolution of a Cro-Magnon', If you've bought our CD and read the booklet, it explains it in there! The video concept is a little different from the song but it is open to everyone's interpretation and I still think it goes with the idea that spirits who remain in purgatory can enter someone's body. We've all heard the excuse, 'I wasn't myself' from people who've done stuff they regretted while under the influence. Well, some believe that spirits use the bodies of the intoxicated and addicts as their vessel to fulfill their deviant desires. Some religions believe the mind's eye is opened with the help of alcohol or illegal substances and that the spirits will enter the body then and act out the things they cannot in purgatory. This video doesn't go that deep into it but it shows some sketchy real life scenarios and I think the director Kevin Custer did a great job."
KINGDOM OF SORROW recently kicked off a three-month North American tour with GWAR and Relapse Records labelmates TOXIC HOLOCAUST. This tour will take the band to over 70 cities all across Canada and the U.S.
